Business Licenses now Required in Menifee, CA

City officials announced the beginning of the Menifee, CA business licensing program last week. All local businesses will now have to apply for a Menifee business license in order to be allowed to conduct business in the city.

On June 3, 2008, the residents of the communities encompassing the Menifee area voted to incorporate into Riverside County's 26th city. The new City of Menifee was officially established on October 1, 2008. It took 3 years for city officials to begin issuing business licenses which has until now has been handled by the Riverside County business licenses division.

“Having the ability to welcome new business enterprises that have made Menifee their home is a huge step for the city, and subsequently, locally owned and operated small business ventures,” MYmenifee wrote in a news release.

The cost for a local business license runs at $45 for a new license and $30 for a business license renewal. Local businesses are urged to come into compliance as soon as possible.
