Privacy Statement - Overview Business Licenses, LLC is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Program. TRUSTe is an independent, organization whose mission is to build user’s trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the use of fair information practices. Information Collection and Use Business Licenses is committed to protecting your personal and financial information. We only use the information we collect from you to process your license and permit applications and to better service your account. Business Licenses requires minimal, pertinent information to process your license and permit applications and to maintain your account. When you create an account we will ask you for information such as company name, your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number, the address and ZIP code for credit card billing, and expiration date. This allows us to process your applications and to notify you of its status. Upon purchase, you will receive an email containing a copy of your invoice. If you have signed up for an Enterprise account with us, you will receive your invoice, monthly via email. We never use any information you enter into license and permit applications. That information is kept within the license and permit applications for the sole purpose of saving, printing, and submitting the applications, but the information is never culled by us or placed into any of our databases. Business Licenses only uses your personal information to service your account, to improve services to you, and to provide you with the products you have requested. Security Business Licenses protects your account information by placing it on the password-access only portion of our Web site. Your unique user name and password is used to access your account information. Your password should not be shared with anyone. When you apply for licenses and permits or access your account information, we use industry encryption standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) 128 bit to encrypt all information you enter before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the client data we collect is protected against unauthorized access. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We use a third-party service provider, www.mysecureweb.net, (a secure application provided by our hosting service) to secure your personally identifiable information using a VeriSign SSL Web Server Wildcard Certificate. Information exchanged with any address beginning with https and includes the domain name mysecureweb.net is encrypted using SSL. The personally identifiable information collected by our third-party service provider is governed by our privacy statement. Business Licenses uses an outside credit card processing company to bill you for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes. Business Licenses has a Live Chat option available on our websites which will allow you to talk one-on-one with a Business Licenses sales representative. The Live Chat service is powered by LivePerson, Inc., a third party software provider. In order to initiate a chat, you must provide your name and email address which will be available to the Business License representative for the duration of the live chat. In addition, all information is recorded on LivePerson, Inc. servers. This information is only used by Business Licenses management to assure proper quality control. LivePerson, Inc. does not use the information submitted in the live chat for any other purpose than to provide the Live Chat service. Business Licenses may release account information when we believe, in good faith that such release is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with the law, and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site, (ii) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements, or (iii) protect the rights, property, or safety of Business Licenses, our users, or others. Cookies Business Licenses uses a technology called "cookies" in order to provide tailored information at our Web site.
