Public Health Officials Close Unlicensed Restaurant

February 27, 2012

Public health officials closed a restaurant located in the Skyway neighborhood of Seattle for operating without having obtained a local business permit. Food permits are imperative to the health of restaurants and eateries as local governments use the application and renewal process as a means of regulating the hygiene of the food establishments.

Angel City Soul Food & BBQ had been operating without a valid Seattle, WA business permit. As such, health officials hadn’t ever inspected the restaurant for compliance with basic health regulations.

Renton Patch reports, “The establishment will be reopened once the inspector confirms that all issues have been resolved, according to a public health announcement.”

Business license compliance is mandatory on national, federal and local levels. Operating without proper state, county and city business licenses can cost business owners thousands in fines and penalties as well as needless aggravation and problems. Business owners are urged to take advantage of Business Licenses’ "Business License Compliance Package™"  which explains exactly which licenses, permits, and tax registrations are required for your business, ensuring license compliance on every level.
