Sedona Extends Business License Requirement

January 10, 2012

One year after Sedona Council members instituted a business license ordinance that requires of all businesses paying sales tax to obtain a Sedona, AZ business license, the council voted to extend that business license requirement to all local businesses.

This was done as part of an effort by council members to amend the Sedona business license ordinance in ways that put it up to par with neighboring communities. Also added are amendments that address late fees and special events licenses.

Patrick Whitehurst describes these changes in Red Rock News, "The first amendment requires all businesses operating within city limits to obtain and maintain a current business license. The second amendment creates a delinquent fee system for businesses that fail to obtain a business license. Licenses cost $25 per year. The proposed delinquency fee is set for $5 a month. The third amendment is designed to create a temporary special event business license at a cost of $7 per event.”

All local businesses are urged to apply for the Sedona, AZ business license as soon as possible. For help in obtaining your Sedona business license visit http://www.businesslicenses.com/Licenses/AZ/Yavapai/Sedona-0402565350/Business-License-44386/.
