Aurora City Council Considers Issuing New Temporary Use Permit
In an effort to promote a more business friendly climate, Aurora, Colorado city officials have proposed creating a new umbrella temporary use permit in addition to the other business licenses and permits offered by the city. For the suggested price of $57.00 vendors would be able to acquire one annual temporary use permit that would cover all district-sponsored events instead of having to pay the same fee for each individual event.
“The idea is to allow one permit annually and to create more of an invitation to vendors to participate,” said Ron Moore, director of the city’s neighborhood services division, as quoted in the AuroraSentinal.
In yesterday’s meeting, officials expressed hope that the proposed ordinance would attract more vendors to events such as the Aurora Arts District, Havana Business District, Fletcher Plaza and Florence Square.
