City Officials Suspend Saginaw Club Owner’s Business License

A quadruple shooting in the premises of Lime Lite Club sparked an investigation by city officials over the club’s compliance with city regulations. City officials then suspended club owner, Willie R. Copeland’s Saginaw business license after finding him to be in violation of his license requirements.

As Michigan Live quotes Saginaw Police Detective Sgt. Joseph Dutoi saying, “Police found (Copeland) to be in several violations of his license.”

City officials have not yet detailed which aspects of his business license, Copeland violated. They did say, though, that if Copeland will open his club now without the required license, the police would shut it down.

Copeland will face a public hearing regarding future status of his business license.
