Lakewood Considers Business License Fee Increase

February 21, 2012

At a study session last week aimed at finding ways to close the gap in the city’s budget, council members suggested raising Lakewood, WA business license fees.

Obtaining a city business license currently costs an annual $45. Raising the business license fee by just $20 would help the city net an additional $14,216 each year.

The additional funds however would not go too far in helping the city with its budget shortfall of $1 million. The Lakewood Patch reports that council members will also vote on increasing fees for parks and recreation services and fire code permit fees.

Business license changes occur in different localities each day. Large businesses can save the time and effort it would take to uncover changes in each branch location by outsourcing business license management to licensing experts. Business Licenses’ Outsourced Business License Management Service allows big businesses to outsource business license filing, maintenance and renewal for all their required business licenses & permits with every licensing authority in the U.S.
