Culpepper Grants Business License Reductions

February 8, 2012

The Town of Culpepper and the County of Culpepper have finally come to an agreement in which the Town of Culpepper will annex the commercial area surrounding the current town boundary line. As part of the agreement town officials have agreed to grant reductions to the Town of Culpepper,VA business license fees.

The Star Exponent reports that “It took at least two decades for the town and county to come together on the difficult issue.” Once the agreement was reached, both officials and citizens expressed their approval to the long-awaited settlement.

The main benefit to businesses in the agreement is the lowered costs in obtaining town utilities. The 20% business license fee reduction to both old and new businesses is an added bonus.
