Beaufort Police Raid Unlicensed Massage Parlor

Police raided a massage parlor last week that had been open without a Beaufort business license. Authorities got information leading to the unlicensed place from an unidentified source.

Island Packer reports that, “The deputy who searched the apartment at Old South Court near Bluffton found a room with candles, a bubbling water fountain, massage oils and a professional massage table. “

The man who answered the door to the police insisted that he only gave massages privately to family and friends and he didn’t charge for his services, although his dress reflected that of a professional massage therapist. Based on the man’s assertion, the deputy sufficed with a verbal warning to stop giving massages and informed the county enforcement division to ensure compliance had been met.
