Charges Pressed Against Operators of Unlicensed Business

December 8, 2011

Tommy Neal,65, and Antonio Neal, 42 of Forrest City, AR were charged with a misdemeanor violation for selling alcohol without obtaining the necessary Forrest City, AR business licenses.

Police found over $1,000 worth of stored alcohol in their house on North Water Street in Forrest City. Complaints about unusual activity in and around the home prompted a police investigation which resulted in the confiscation of 950 containers of alcohol and charges against the two residents of the home.

KAIT8 reports that “Antonio Neal was taken into custody, and Tommy Neal was cited for the misdemeanor violation.”

Although the sale of any items without the requisite city business licenses is considered an offense, the fact that the two men were selling alcohol across the street of a school has made the offense all the more offensive.
