Goshen Cuts Cost of Business Permits in Half

In an effort to attract businesses to open shop in their town, trustees voted to cut the cost of Goshen business permits from $200 to $100.

“As a township, we realize it’s a very competitive market out there,”  said Goshen Township Trustee Bob Hausermann, quoted by the Community Press. “We want to do whatever we can do to help the new businesses and we will pursue every avenue we can to do that, within reason. Lowering the cost is a very small gesture, but it sends a message that we’re a business-friendly community.”

With the ‘business-friendly’ attitude in mind, town trustees agreed to refund the $100 savings to businesses that opened shop in Goshen in the past year.
